Consejo Counseling & Referral Services received a Certificate of Appreciation from the National Latino Behavioral Health Association (NLBHA) in recognition of its outstanding dedication, partnership, and commitment to advancing behavioral health equity in Latino communities nationwide.

Latino Community Leadership Award


Consejo Counseling & Referral Services was honored with the Latino Community Leadership Award 2024 at the Mason County Latinx Drug Prevention Summit. This recognition highlights Consejo’s dedication to providing culturally responsive care and its commitment to empowering the Latinx community in Mason County and beyond.

Tacoma Public School - Whole Child Championship


The Tacoma Public School Board recognized Consejo for being as a whole child champion  and dedicated community partner in supporting the whole child work in Tacoma. Consejo is recognized as a community companion for its efforts in helping every student to be safe, healthy, engaged, and challenged.

Golden Clippy Community Organizer Award


Representative Saldana honored Consejo's Executive Director with the Golden Clippy Community Organizer Award  in recognition of his commitment to the Latinx community and behavioral health for 30 years.

Help.org Top 10 Rehabilitation Facilities 2020


Help.Org honored Consejo’s King and Pierce County Substance Use Disorder Outpatient Treatment Programs as two of the 10 top rehabilitation facilities.

The Pierce County Community Services Eviction Rental Aid Program honored Consejo with the Housing Heroes of Pierce County Award for providing clients, families, and community members with over $500,000 towards rental assistance.

King County Coalition Against Domestic Violence Award.


Consejo domestic violence volunteer’s students from Thomas Jefferson High school of Auburn won the Take Action Campaign given by the King County Coalition Against Domestic Violence Award.

Outstanding Community for Advocacy and Guidance to Latina survivors of domestic violence.


The Northwest Immigrants’ Rights Project recognized Consejo’s Domestic Violence Program as an Outstanding Community for Advocacy and Guidance for Latina survivors of domestic violence.

Consejo received the King County Mental Health, Substance Abuse, and Dependency Services Exemplary Service Award for outstanding client advocacy services.

Effective Community Engagement Award


Latinos in Cooperation with the Community Fund (WA State) honored Consejo with the Effective Community Engagement Award for championing the rights of Latinx survivors of domestic violence and their children.

Consejo received the Entre Hermanos Community Hero Award for providing culturally appropriate support services to the King County Latinx LGBTQ community.
