Our Approach

At Consejo, we believe healing begins with understanding. Our trauma-informed approach is rooted in compassionate care that meets youth and families where they are. We create an environment that encourages healing, growth, and resilience, addressing not just immediate needs but the long-term well-being of those we serve.

We use evidence-based methods such as motivational interviewing and harm-reduction strategies, ensuring each person has a personalized plan that builds on their strengths, skills, and hopes for the future.

Our goal is to provide comprehensive, culturally sensitive care that helps youth develop the life skills, confidence, and resources needed for a successful transition into adulthood.

Our Commitment to

Youth Violence Prevention

We are deeply committed to breaking the cycle of violence among Latinx and BIPOC youth affected by the criminal justice system.

Our violence prevention program offers a comprehensive support network, addressing not only behavioral health needs but also job readiness, educational opportunities, and re-entry plans for those transitioning back into the community.

Through mentorship, early intervention, and ongoing support, we aim to empower youth to make positive choices, reduce recidivism, and build brighter futures for themselves and their communities.
