Consejo provides safe, supportive, transitional housing for survivors of domestic violence and their children; and supportive permanent housing for people living with chronic mental illness.
Consejo owns and operates three housing facilities. Mi Casa and Villa Esperanza provide safe, supportive, transitional housing for survivors of domestic violence and their children. The third facility, Las Brisas, provides supportive permanent housing for people living with Chronic Mental illness (CMI) who are at high risk for hospitalization and homelessness due to their history of mental illness and substance use disorders. Consejo supportive housing helps residents retain their housing, improve their skills, income and increase their confidence and self-sufficiency.
Las Brisas offers ten garden-style, one-bedroom apartments with a shared courtyard. Residents have access to coordinated care and can work with Consejo’s integrated behavioral health care team to address their educational, employment, health, long term housing and basic human needs.
