“I am an adult Latina survivor of childhood sexual assault; I was repeatedly sexually abused by relatives and family friends. I sought out Consejo’s Sexual Assault Services Program and began discussing the abuse with my therapist. In the beginning, it was not easy, but being a Consejo client has helped me feel better. My panic attacks have stopped, and my depression symptoms have decreased. I no longer live with fear, insecurity, and severe sadness.
