Beakie Colon Rivera, LICSW, SUDP, is the Co-occurring Behavioral Health Director at Consejo. She has six years of behavioral health experience, specifically with the Hispanic community and those suffering from opioid addiction. Beakie received her bachelor’s degree from William Peace University in Psychology. She earned a Master's degree in Social Work with a concentration in Children and Families and a certificate in Substance Abuse. Before moving to Washington, she was an intern supervisor and a behavioral health therapist working primarily with the Hispanic population and clients in a medicated assistant treatment for opioid addiction. Since starting at Consejo, Beakie has built a successful school-based program in Graham while working with seven different school districts.
