Housing Programs
Transitional Housing Programs
Consejo provides transitional housing for homeless Latina survivors of domestic violence and their children. Training, peer support, social activities, private counseling, and group meetings are all held in the community buildingn on-site.
It also provides a semi-confidential, transitional residence for Spanish-speaking women and their children who are seeking safety from domestic violence. In this supportive environment, survivors and their children can address their safety needs, long-term self-sufficiency plans, as well as begin the process of healing, in a nurturing, supportive atmosphere.
Las Brisas Housing Program
Since 1994, Las Brisas has housed and served Latino adults who are living with chronic mental illness and have a history of chronic homelessness. Las Brisas is made up of 10 one-bedroom, garden-style apartments with a common, central courtyard. Consejo also provides Las Brisas residents with psychiatric care, medication management, case management, individual and group therapy and vocational rehabilitation services.
